Powys Media comments
I have purchased each PM Space:1999 novel as it has been available, going back to the first novel and the pre-orders for the second series Omnibus, years before it was published. At first, I reveled in and treasured these books as a revisitation of our beloved series. The minor corrections in the second series Omnibus correction obvious mistakes was appreciated. Of recent, I have become jaded and displeased. The Omega and Alpha books in particular feel too much as if the new BSG is being invoked with angst-ridden characterizations and forced circumstances that do not feel appropriate to our show. They are now calling this the 'Powysverse.' On the Powys website the only comments fall under what my partner describes as a 'lovefest' without any negative critiques. I have not signed up on that forum to make comments as I would be very much out of position. Has anyone else here read these books? If so, did you like them?

Re: Powys Media comments
Interesting comments, s99 fan. I too have all the Powys novels, but reading wise, have so far only worked my way through the Year 1 novels and have also nearly finished the Year 2 novels, so am yet to progress onto the Powys novels, but I do hope to comment on them when I do get to read them.
Having said that, I do appreciate the efforts of Powys in keeping the Space 1999 spirit alive.
