Not real good at talking about myself for whatever reason, but my dad & I did watch some Space 1999 back around 76 or so & I have in recent years rediscovered it via very cheap dvd releases, Usually with 3 episodes per set. It's really a largely unappreciated gem of a show. & it has the element of delving into the unknown & Metaphysics which was common to the era,( late 60's-early 70's). In Search of & Star Trek & Dr Who other examples.

As to Sci Fi in general, I tend to lean towards 70's 80's stuff. Tom Baker my favorite Doctor. TOS my fav Trek. Fav movies would include Flash Gordon 1980, Enemy Mine, 1st & 6th Trek, Time After Time, Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978, Logans Run, Planet of the Vampires, along with several Italian 70's flicks, Star Odyssey, War of the Robots, War of the Planets, Starcrash II etc.

P.S. The name Cowofzot... Well it's better than Norse-on-a-Horse or Blacksword of the 12th dimension. But where did it come from? I am occasionally asked. From a 50's movie Fred Schneider of the B-52's mentioned in an interview about a 3 eyed Cow from planet Zot that came down to the earth & ate the Black Forest.

I think it would;ve been great to have some of it filmed in Utah, cool desert scenery there. But having said that, British tv did more with less. the Aussies did a couple Sci Fi shows, see if I can post links to em.

For movies there was Starship & The Time Guardian featuring Carrie Fischer.

But there was also a couple tv shows around same tme as TOS.

Phoenix Five was 1 of em. Youtube has a clip, very groovy 60's soundtrack.
