"DRAGON'S DOMAIN" could have inspired the movies ALIEN(1979) and ALIENS(1986) just substituted Lt. Ripley for Tony Cellini?

"DRAGON'S DOMAIN" After escaping the Ultra Probe(creature onboard), Cellini survives in Ultra Probe Command Module Lifeboat until he is recovered..then Cellini returns to confront the monster and prove it existed.

ALIEN(1979) After destructing the Nostromo, Ripley survives in Narcissus Shuttle Lifeboat until she is recovered....then Ripley returns to confront the monster and prove it existed in ALIENS(1986).

Interesting observations Steve.
How about 'The Bringers of Wonder' with its themes of reality vs. dreams - could have inspired 'The Matrix'

Yes, Space 1899 I see what you mean.
On a side note about "The Bringers Of Wonder", if you ever watch the BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY 1979-81 series episode called "Mark of the Saurian". It like a total copy of the Space:1999 episode, with Buck Rogers in the Koenig role. Shocked

Hi Steve - have never seen Buck Rogers, but hope to check that out sometime.

I just happened to watch Dragons Domain again yesterday and, having read recently in the Destination Moonbase Alpha book that Alan was originally to have had a major part in that episode, I noticed that Alan did look a bit cheesed off throughout that episode. Anyone else notice that ?

Hi SPACE 1899, yes, read Robert E. Wood's brilliant book too. Nick Tate's Alan Carter lost out on being the main character of "Dragon's Domain" to the created Tony Cellini for the Italian investors in the series. Then to add insult to injury, Martin Landau's Koenig took Nick Tate's Alan Carter killing the creature with an axe scene away from him too. Mad Nick Tate was not happy.
