I agree with you about many Year 2 stories being good (minus the monsters)...I have always felt many of the Year 2 stories had great potential, but were ruined by rubber monsters and/or cheesy lines.

The music...Which IMHO was also detrimental to the feel of the series, screams 1970s and also seemed wildly inappropriate in many scenes...Ruining the tension, ruining the drama.
