Most "realistic" episode...
Someone brought this up in the OnLineAlpha e-mail loop, so I decided to start a thread here.
Which, in your opinion, was the most "realistic" ep of the show? And why?

Running down the episode list, none of them are remotely 'realistic', which is exactly why I enjoy them. However, the juxtaposition of unrealistic situations with all too real characters, that is what makes this show the jewel it is.

I think it depends what you mean by "realistic". Given how far out Space: 1999 tends to be! I'd like to nominate either "The Full Circle" or "The Last Sunset" - in that they seem to be two episodes in which we see lots of subtle characterization, humour and real human reactions to the situations that the Alphans find themselves in.

I think that in some ways, DD could be the "most realistic" episode.
We saw some of Earth, pre-Breakaway, and the internal politics of the Space Commission, and how people are always the same. The way Dixon wants to juggle things, ultimately to keep his job, is just sooooooo typical of Human nature.
I found it a believeable peek into Human behavior.
