Thank you for the welcome. Not many of my friends were interested in the show as it didnt seem to capture any of their imaginations. It was also difficult to follow as London Weekend Television moved it about the schedule all the time.

Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PIECE OF SPACE 1999 MEMORABILIA AND WHY ?
My favourite piece of memorabilia from Space: 1999 is an address book.
For Christmas 1974 Martin Landau and Barbara Bain gave address books (black with gold embossed lettering) to each cast and crew member working on the series. They say: "Merry Christmas 1974 - Martin Landau & Barbara Bain - Space: 1999" and then each is embossed with the name of the person who received it.
For a while I had two of these address books. One belonged to Lee Katzin, and the other belonged to Barry Morse.
I donated the Lee Katzin one to the charity auction at the last 1999 Con, but I have kept and framed Barry's.
Barry used this address book from when he received it onward for the rest of his life, and I would see it often when I saw him. He knew it was an item that I coveted, and after his passing his son Hayward gave it to me.
...
My other favourite memorabilia item is Keith Wilson's original design drawing for the Stun Gun, which I purchased at the charity auction at the 2000 Con in NYC. It's framed and treasured, and as I've always loved the design of the Stun Gun, I'm pleased to have this original design drawing.

Wow - great piece of memorabilia. I read somewhere that one year, Martin and Barbara gave out 'Space 1999' clocks to cast members as presents. Wonder if any of those will ever turn up on ebay ?!

The clocks from Martin and Barbara were given as gifts during Year Two. I've only ever seen one of these, which belonged to Zienia Merton, and I believe is still in her collection.
